Ciao! Hi! ¡Hola! I’m Ottaviano Brando — but most people call me Otto (it’s quicker and has a nice ring to it). With years of experience in lighting, CG supervision, and storytelling, I’ve contributed to over 40 projects with top studios such as Framestore, Cinesite, Mikros Animation, and more. As a CG Supervisor, I’ve learned to lead teams with empathy, solve creative and technical challenges under pressure, and maintain a high standard of visual quality — always keeping the client’s vision at the core of the process. Founding Uchi VFX allowed me to collaborate with artists across Europe, crafting visuals that not only look great but connect emotionally with audiences. Recently, I’ve taken an exciting step forward: I’ve joined Kinopata as a partner, where I’ll be leading the expansion of the VFX and animated series division. Together, we’re building an ambitious roadmap to develop original and branded content with a strong cinematic identity — and we’re ready to scale our productions internationally. My passion for photography inspired me to create a lighting course on cgLighting.net to help train the next generation of artists. Mentorship and knowledge sharing are essential to how I work and grow with others.
